MURPHY & DITTENHAFER ARCHITECTS SELECTED FOR ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE BUILDING PROJECTS

Murphy & Dittenhafer has been chosen for open-ended architectural/engineering professional services to provide design, construction documentation, and construction administration services for various campus-wide building upgrades, renovations, and new additions.

Under this contract, Murphy & Dittenhafer is currently providing preliminary design studies for possible renovations to the first floor level of Myer Hall.

Murphy & Dittenhafer Commissioned to Design York City Visitors Information Center in Central Market York

July 22, 2014--Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects have been hired to convert the former Market Master’s office at York’s historic Central Market House into the new York City Visitors Information Center.

The space will be rehabilitated and restored to its original 1888 appearance and provide new display areas, interactive smart screen technology, a customer service counter, and other informational components to assist to York City visitors. Provision for future souvenir sales to visitors by Central Market within the new center has also been incorporated into the plan.

Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2014.

Murphy & Dittenhafer was the firm responsible for Central Market’s recent award-winning restoration project.

Murphy & Dittenhafer Awarded Commission for Engine Houses 55 and 44

JULY 15, 2014--Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects have been commissioned by the Baltimore City Department of General Services to provide design services for renovations and additions to two firehouses located in Baltimore City.

Design work for the estimated $250,000 restoration of the roof at Engine House No. 44 is underway. A project at Engine House No. 55 includes renovations, as well as a small addition to the building, and will cost approximately $400,000. Murphy & Dittenhafer expects construction to begin on both projects in spring 2015.
