JULY 15, 2014--Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects have been commissioned by the Baltimore City Department of General Services to provide design services for renovations and additions to two firehouses located in Baltimore City.
Design work for the estimated $250,000 restoration of the roof at Engine House No. 44 is underway. A project at Engine House No. 55 includes renovations, as well as a small addition to the building, and will cost approximately $400,000. Murphy & Dittenhafer expects construction to begin on both projects in spring 2015.
